With thousands of revelers descending upon the Strip on New Year’s Eve, the Las Vegas Monorail will continue to operate even when the Strip closes to vehicles and buses – representing a convenient transportation option for visitors looking to get to the city’s hottest spots safely, quickly and efficiently. On New Year’s Eve, the system will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 a.m. to transport people throughout the night.
“Rather than walking, visitors can let the Monorail do the driving for them, traveling the entire distance of the Strip in 15 minutes or less – which means less time traveling and more time celebrating,” said Ingrid Reisman, vice president of corporate communications for the Las Vegas Monorail.
The Las Vegas Monorail Company offers a ticket type to suite every traveler’s needs: a $5 Single Ride Ticket; $12 Unlimited Ride Day Pass and a $28 Unlimited Ride Three-Day Pass. With trains arriving every few minutes, visitors can glide above the Strip from one party to the next and let the Monorail connect them to Las Vegas’ world-class restaurants, clubs, shows, shops, hotels and casinos. Even as the city’s famous firework displays light up the skies, the system will continue to offer reliable, non-stop service until 3 a.m.
