Luxurious Auction Items at The Las Vegas Honors St. Jude Event

Brilliant color, bold patterns, and creative inspiration have come together in an unforgettable collection created by local young artists and signed by renowned artist Romero Britto as part of the ‘Children of Britto’ collection to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  The most talented young artists in the Las Vegas area have been working hard to support the children of St. Jude to create this collection.  The pieces reflect the creativity and imagination of children who have been touched by an important cause and inspired to give of themselves.

‘Children of Britto’ will debut at the inaugural Las Vegas Honors St. Jude event at the Four Seasons, Las Vegas (3960 Las Vegas Boulevard, South Las Vegas, Nevada 89119). The Las Vegas Chapter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will host this inaugural gala on May 15 at 6:30 p.m. to benefit the children and families receiving treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The event will feature a red carpet, cocktail reception, luxurious dinner, star-studded entertainment, an inspired art collection, and premiere silent and live auctions.

Live Auction items include: A luxurious week vacation in Bali, beautiful children’s artwork inspired and signed by renowned artist Romero Britto, a pair of 2 carat diamond earrings from “I Do Diamonds” The Perfect Princess Cut, retail value $3,200, a Berger’s Jewelry Necklace from Berger’s Jewelry, retail value $3,500, a Sculpture by Romero Britto, 2 roundtrip airline tickets valuing up to $770.00, and a Weather Spot on Channel 8.

‘Las Vegas Honors St. Jude’ will bring the community, St. Jude patients and artists together for ‘an evening of peace, love, and hope for the children of St. Jude.’  Highlighting local  artistic and musical talent, professional artists, and the artwork of St. Jude patients, the event will focus on expressing the hope and youthfulness of the patients through vibrant colors and a cheerful and glamorous ambience.

Guests will also have the opportunity to meet local St. Jude patient Claire Kimsey and her family. Claire overcame Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, the most common form of childhood cancer.  Claire, along with many other children in the Las Vegas community, is donating her time and artistic talents.

Over 40 years ago, the late entertainer Danny Thomas envisioned a dream that “no child should die in the dawn of life”.  He developed a plan and believed that his dream could come true.  Today, through a collective effort of physicians, researchers, donors, and volunteers, this dream is becoming a reality.  The hospital treats children from Las Vegas, across the United States and around the world at no cost to their families. Supporters of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in the Las Vegas and surrounding areas are contributing to Danny’s dream.  St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, founded by Danny Thomas in 1962, is the world’s leading research center for childhood cancer.  For more information, please visit the website at www.stjude.org/lasvegas.
