It started in 2004 with one band, one pin-up girl contest and one DJ – all on one stage, in a single day.
The 2010 edition of The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s famous Rockabilly Rod Reunion (www.RockabillyRodReunion.com) will feature 18 bands on two stages over three days.
Bands will take to the stage at 6 p.m. in the fabulous Neon Garage (in the infield of the superspeedway) to kick off the party and will continue past midnight.
On Saturday, the Cooper Tires Stage will fire up on the drag strip midway and bands play a staggered schedule at both venues to allow rockabilly music fans to catch every act.
On Sunday, the Cooper Tires Stage opens at 11 a.m. with Joey Fender and continues until 4 p.m. DJs will play rockabilly music between band sets.
The Rockabilly Rod Reunion is a lifestyle event for hot rod and kustom kulture enthusiasts –
and features the NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Drag Racing Series for vintage drag racing, Bo Huff’s Ultimate Garage Party & Car Show, pin-up superstar Sabina Kelly, Jason Beam’s pinstriper showdown,
tattoo showcase, hundreds of cool pre-1965 cars and the ultimate burn-out contest.
