On Sunday, Bret A. Berwick, a construction worker from North Olmsted, Ohio received an early birthday present. The 30-year-old was the winner of a $1,013,882 Wheel of Fortune dollar MegaJackpot at O’Sheas Casino. He is the third person this week to win a Wheel of Fortune MegaJackpot in Las Vegas.
Berwick, who was visiting Las Vegas with some friends, had played only $20 when he hit the MegaJackpot.
“At first I thought I had won $1,500” said the lucky winner. “When I told my friends I’d won the jackpot, they didn’t believe me and had to come see it for themselves.”
Berwick, who will continue to work at his current job, plans to buy a house with his winnings.
