Local Partnership Reminds Athletes about Hydration

Raising Cane’s and the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame have partnered to educate high school football players on the importance of proper hydration during training. In an effort to continue monthly community outreach, the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame has purchased 1,000 sports bottles, which have been delivered to seven local high schools. Each sports bottle has hydration tips printed on it.

Schools were selected by their proximity to each Raising Cane’s location. Silverado High School, Liberty High School, Del Sol High School, Valley High School, Clark High School, Bonanza High School and Arbor View High School were the selected schools.

“Proper Hydration when training in the desert heat is imperative to the health and safety of our local athletes,” said Dan Dolby, Chairman of the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame. “We hope that these bottles serve as a reminder to the athletes during their season.”

Raising Cane’s will be providing complimentary drinks to these athletes throughout the football season when they bring their sports bottle to any Las Vegas location. Raising Cane’s locations are: 7550 Las Vegas Boulevard South; 4655 West Charleston Boulevard; 1120 East Flamingo Road; 5660 Centennial Center Blvd. (opening Fall 2008).

“We are excited to be able to partner with the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame by providing drinks for these athletes to enjoy during their season,” says Justin Micatrotto, Vice President of Operations for the Micatrotto Restaurant Group, which owns and operates the four Las Vegas area Raising Cane’s locations. “Raising Cane’s is committed to enhancing our community, and this is a great way to become involved with our local athletes.”
