The world’s largest fashion trade event, The MAGIC Marketplace, is poised to showcase the biggest and best assortment of brands in five years, reflecting an exciting period of growth and momentum for the industry and its business.
“With a 25 percent increase in retailer registration, significantly increased square footage and hundreds of new stores planning to attend, the August 2010 MAGIC Marketplace will show that the industry is enjoying a solid revival, and that brands and buyers are once again confirming that MAGIC is the place to be,” said Chris DeMoulin, MAGIC International President and Executive Vice President of Advanstar’s Fashion Group. “The show floor will be an amazing reflection of all the exciting growth we are seeing.”
Furthering its 2010 commitment to offer the most comprehensive, efficient shopping experiences in the industry, MAGIC will once again host its marketplace on two unique campuses in the heart of Las Vegas: The Mandalay Bay Convention Center, which will house MAGIC Menswear, PROJECT, S.L.A.T.E, Premium, Street and the relocated POOLTRADESHOW. The Las Vegas Convention Center will host WWDMAGIC, FN PLATFORM, and Sourcing at MAGIC.

In its fourth season, S.L.A.T.E. continues to develop into THE place to be if you are a directional “life-style” brand. In addition to the likes of Stussy, 10 Deep Clothing, LRG, Crooks & Castles and OBEY, this August S.L.A.T.E. welcomes brands such as DGK and The Hundreds to the line-up of must-see brands.
The Las Vegas Convention Center will also remain one of the market’s most bustling business epicenters come August with the celebration of Women’s Wear Daily’s 100th anniversary. In homage to the publication’s outstanding legacy in the industry, WWDMAGIC will host a fashion retrospective, curated by WWD, of iconic images from their archives. The exhibit will highlight unforgettable moments in fashion from the last century, decade-by-decade.
