Current participants and new members of AFAN’s Every Piggy Counts program received 20% off their entire bill at Chill, where quality frozen desserts for the health-conscious are offered in a self-serve environment. Community members who already filled their piggy banks emptied them during the Pig Out. More than 10 piggy banks were adopted throughout the course of the event.

Guests also purchased discounted tickets to this year’s 24th Annual Black & White Party taking place inside The Joint concert venue at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino at 9 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21 and more than 20 tickets were sold during the Pig Out. Guests paid $30 per ticket (original price $35 in advance, $40 at the door) to one of the hottest parties of the year, featuring unique entertainment, exquisite cuisine and fresh libations. Proceeds from the event will benefit AFAN and the fight against HIV/AIDS in Southern Nevada. For additional event information, please visit www.afanlv.org.

In support of World AIDS Day (Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010) the Adopt-A-Piggy program allows guests to adopt piggy banks and ‘fatten them up’ with coins. Each of the five-inch ceramic piggy banks are personalized with a birth certificate and may also be adopted by completing a form online or at the AFAN office (701 Shadow Lane, Suite 170, Las Vegas, Nev. 89106).
