Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band return to Las Vegas for one remarkable performance at the MGM Grand Garden Arena Saturday, May 16 as part of Jimmy Buffett’s “Summerzcool” Tour 2009. Tickets go on-sale Monday, Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. Parrotheads won’t want to miss their chance to soak in the full Margaritaville experience.
Jimmy’s newest release is a very special DVD, Scenes You Know By Heart. Jimmy chose the best live performances of the songs from his six-million selling CD, Songs You Know By Heart, from his concerts all over the world: Paris, Anguilla, Cincinnati, Hawaii, Chicago’s Wrigley Field, Las Vegas, Indiana and Dallas.
In addition to the 13 videos, there are two bonus cuts, “Hey Good Lookin” and “It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere” (a No. 1 hit for which Jimmy received his first Grammy nomination). In the packaging is a 12-page booklet in which Jimmy explains how the footage was chosen and provides “a few thoughts about what we do, and what we play that you might not be aware of.”
Upcoming for Jimmy is a new live acoustic CD, which will be comprised of the intimate final encore songs he does at the end of each show, sometimes alone, sometimes with Coral Reefer Mac McAnally. It will be a unique collection unlike anything he has released before.
