On Friday, MGM Resorts entertainers and employees joined forces to “hit a homerun” for a great cause (Pictured above: FANTASY ladies with Vinny – Photo courtesy of MGM Resorts).

Performers from Luxor’s FANTASY, MGM Grand’s Crazy Horse Paris, Excalibur’s Defending the Caveman and Vinny from New York-New-York kicked off a two-day companywide charity softball tournament, which raised $12,000 for the MGM Resorts Foundation. One-hundred percent of these funds will be donated back into the community. This year alone, MGM Resorts employees have raised more than $4.8 million for the MGM Resorts Foundation.

The kick-off event pitted the Corporate All-Stars against the New York-New York Yankees. It was tight, but the Corporate All-Stars rallied to win in a close 14-13 defeat. Scoring big for the All-Stars was chief marketing officer Bill Hornbuckle with six RBIs including a homerun.

Company performers each got into the spirit of the game in their own special way:
- Throwing out the first pitch was Kevin Burke from Excalibur’s one-man show, Defending the Caveman
- FANTASY’s Lorena Peril led the “2nd inning stretch” with a fun rendition of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game”
- Dressed in Yankees stripes, Vinny from New York-New York delivered hilarious (if biased) commentary in his signature NY style while razzing the crowd with one-liners
- Performers from MGM Grand’s Crazy Horse Paris and FANTASY at Luxor excited the crowd, who waved their homemade signs and cheered on their co-workers
