Nevada Ballet Theatre Offers Affordable Tickets for Annual Nutcracker; Encourages Patrons to Avoid Scalpers

Nevada Ballet Theatre announced today that tickets to its annual production of The Nutcracker, set to open Friday, December 17 and run through Sunday, December 26 at the Paris Théâtre, 3655 Las Vegas Boulevard South, are being advertised for sale by unsanctioned online ticket vendors at significantly higher prices. Patrons are encouraged to be cautious when purchasing tickets to The Nutcracker.

Tickets should be ordered directly through the Paris Box Office at (702) 946-4567 or online through www.nevadaballet.org. In addition, tickets may be obtained in person at the Paris Théâtre Box Office or local Ticketmaster outlets.

“It is imperative that our audience is aware that we strive to provide affordable tickets, especially in this difficult economic climate,” said Executive Director & CEO Beth Barbre. “The revenue we achieve through ticket sales is critical to our successful operation as a non-profit. We are grateful to everyone in the community who supports us.”

Nevada Ballet Theatre has been performing this holiday main stay for almost 30 years. Accessible ticket prices range from $30 to $85 (fees include: $5.50 through Paris Box Office and an additional $6.50 – $8.50 through Ticketmaster). In addition, special pricing is available for groups of 10 or more and can be purchased by calling Joel Mann at (702) 967-4938.

Debuting for the second year in the grandeur of the Paris Théâtre, this year’s production will include charming new highlights and added visual effects with two additional performances from last year. A holiday boutique will be open for patrons who wish to shop before the performance, during intermission or following the show.

The presenting sponsor for Nevada Ballet Theatre’s 2010 Nutcracker is the Caesars Foundation.
