The next topic to be featured in the Roadmap to Success Series – hosted by the Henderson Chamber of Commerce and the Henderson Business Resource Center – will be From Lost to Confident in Two Hours – How to Administer Your Computer Like a Pro.
Featuring Rich Manley, manager of TechVanta Business IT Solutions, the workshop will take place from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, at the Henderson Business Resource Center – located at 112 Water St. near West Pacific Avenue in downtown Henderson.
Free to Henderson Chamber members, the Roadmap to Success Series began in September and continues through May. The series includes 23 workshops covering topics including finance, legal, marketing, and operations and sales.
Manley is the owner of TechVanta, a business IT solutions company that serves small- to medium-sized businesses in Southern Nevada. Manly has nearly two decades of diverse experience, holding numerous industry certifications and has earned a bachelor’s degree in information services from the University of Redlands in Southern California. Prior to starting his own successful small business, Manley filled the role as IT manager at Lake Las Vegas Resort.
Participants in the workshop should bring their laptops as it is an interactive seminar focusing on uninstalling software, defragmenting hard drives, removing spyware and installing free applications. Manley also will cover the truths and myths about viruses and spyware.
All chamber members and the public are invited to attend. There is no cost for chamber members. Cost for non-members is $25. Breakfast is sponsored by Emerald Island Casino.
