Ke$ha to Perform at The Pearl at The Palms May 7, 2011

Electro-pop sensation Ke$ha is set to perform at the Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 8 p.m.

Ke$ha’s debut album Animal was released in early 2010 reaching #1 on The Billboard 200 and featured hit singles “Tik Tok,” and “Take It Off.” The success of these singles showed the world was ready for hard-hitting, electro-pop hits. “Tik Tok” reached #1 on numerous charts, including The Billboard Hot 100 and Mainstream Top 40.

In late 2010, Ke$ha released the nine-song EP Cannibal which produced another #1 chart-topper, “We R Who We R.”

As a young, and very determined, aspiring pop singer and songwriter, Ke$ha once snuck into Prince’s Beverly Hills home in order to give him her demo CD in hopes of him producing her first album. Luckily for Ke$ha she didn’t hear back or her course to stardom might have gone a different direction.

Ke$ha eventually met super producer Lukasz Gottwald – a.k.a. Dr. Luke – whose work with pop stars Britney Spears, Katy Perry and Kelly Clarkson proved he had all the right skills to turn out smash hits. It was Dr. Luke who brought Ke$ha to music giant RCA Records and the label signed her in February 2009.

Later that year, Dr. Luke was working with Flo Rida who was in need of a female voice on the track. The rapper asked Ke$ha is she wanted to do the vocal and the world was first introduced to Ke$ha in the single “Right Round.” The single received major airplay and sold more than 636,000 downloads in its first week out, shattering the previous one-week digital single sales record.
