Soul singer Martin Sexton brings his revered talent to Hard Rock Cafe on the Las Vegas Strip. A native of Syracuse, New York, Martin Sexton grew up in the 80’s, with a deep love for classic rock and roll, one that has never faded. The poetic rocker broke through the Boston music scene in 1992 with his self-produced “In The Journey,” which sold 20,000 copies out of his guitar case busking. “Black Sheep,” “The American,” “Wonder Bar” and “Live Wide Open” followed from 1996-2002 and laid the foundation for the lucrative career he has today with his loyal fans and the ability to sell out venues of all sizes.
In 2002 Sexton launched his own label, KTR, allowing him to freely create his music. Sexton’s music infiltrates many musical worlds – ranging everywhere from music festivals to film and television. 2008 was a lucrative year with the release of “Seeds.” The album debuted at #6 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. Following “Seeds” was the release of the cd/dvd set Solo, which documented a series of unaccompanied live appearances. In early 2009, Solo won Best Live Performance Album at The 8th Annual Independent Music Awards . His latest studio release, “Sugarcoating,” finds the musical renaissance man doing what he does best: locating larger truths within the specific details of the life he’s living.
