After two highly successful seasons, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino brings back Friday Night Live with a performance by Rusted Root on Friday, May 1 at 9 p.m.
Highlighting some of today’s hottest artists at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s award-winning pool, Friday Night Live (FNL) has become a necessity for Vegas locals and music fans alike. To kick it off, Rusted Root brings their unique jam-heavy rock sounds to the FNL stage for the third year in a row on May 1.
“After two successful seasons, it is very clear that our Friday Night Live series is an experience not to be missed,” said Paul Davis, vice president of entertainment at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. “When you combine the incredible lineup we have secured with our award-winning pool, you create the quintessential summertime party.”
In all, nine acts have been confirmed for FNL, with more to be announced soon. The lineup, on sale Saturday, March 14, includes the following shows:

Acclaimed for their fusion of jam-heavy rock combined with a strong percussion section, Rusted Root returns to the FNL stage for a third year in a row. After experiencing Rusted Root live, it is clear that the multicultural rock and soul band refuses to let anything interfere with the beautiful collaboration of music they are known for creating.
Eek-A-Mouse Friday, May 15 at 9 p.m. (Doors at 7 p.m.)
Tickets – $20 advance, $22.73 day of show
Ludicrous, bizarre, and uniquely original, Eek-A-Mouse has gone on to become something of an international phenomenon, with hits including “Isn’t Life a Trip,” “Sexy Girl,” and “What Me Ago Do.”
Ozomatli Friday, May 22 at 9 p.m. (Doors at 7 p.m.)
Tickets – $22.73 advance, $31.82 day of show
Brewing a vital concoction of Latin salsa, urban hip-hop, and jazz-funk, Ozomatli formed in Los Angeles in the mid-90’s. The group actively supports anti-war mobilizations and global human rights movements. Ozomatli celebrated their tenth anniversary in 2005 with the release of a live concert album, Live at the Fillmore.
Sugar Ray Friday, May 29 at 9 p.m. (Doors at 7 p.m.)

Boasting a unique sound influenced by funk metal, pop, and alternative rock, Sugar Ray has produced a number of mainstream hits beginning in 1997 with “Fly”, from the double platinum album Floored. Other notable songs include “Every Morning,” “Someday,” and “When It’s Over”.
Gavin Rossdale Friday, June 5 at 9 p.m. (Doors at 7 p.m.)

Best known as the lead singer and guitarist of the rock band Bush, British musician Gavin Rossdale brings his solo sounds to the FNL stage this summer. “Love Remains The Same,” a single off of his 2008 album Wanderlust, eventually rose to #27 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Unwritten Law Friday, July 24 at 9 p.m. (Doors at 7 p.m.)
Tickets – $20
American Rock band Unwritten Law has toured both nationally and internationally, including appearing on the popular Warped Tour. The band has produced several notable singles including “Seein’ Red” and “Save Me (Wake Up Call).” Most recently, Unwritten Law released a live album entitled Live and Lawless.
Gin Blossoms Friday, June 26 at 8 p.m. (Doors at 7 p.m.)

Alternative rock group the Gin Blossoms have had a significant influence on modern rock due to their consolidation of melodic rock, folk, and country elements. The band has produced a string of hits during their lengthy career such as “Hey Jealousy,” “Found Out About You,” “Mrs. Rita,” “Allison Road,” and “Til I Hear It From You.” Another hit song, “Follow You Down,” can be found in the box office smash, How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days.
Los Lonely Boys Friday, August 14 at 8 p.m. (Doors at 7 p.m.)

Los Lonely Boys is a Grammy Award-winning rock band consisting of three brothers that combines elements of rock and roll, blues, country and soul. In 2003, their debut album, Los Lonely Boys, was recorded at Willie Nelson‘s Pedernales recording studio. The boys released their eagerly awaited sophomore album, Sacred, in 2006. Forgiven followed in 2008, which also saw the release of a holiday album, Christmas Spirit.
Collective Soul Friday, September 11 at 9 p.m. (Doors at 7 p.m.)

Collective Soul was formed in the early 90’s by principal songwriter Ed Roland. The hard rock group went on to produce the hit song “Shine” became a modern rock staple. Collective Soul found themselves thrust into the limelight, playing everywhere from arenas with Aerosmith to Woodstock 1994. Most recently, the band released the 2007 album Afterwords.
