Can’t make it to Kentucky for the Derby? RHUMBAR’s luxurious patio is the next best thing to watching the races hillside at the Churchill Downs. “Derby Daze” invites ladies and gentlemen to dress to impress in their Derby best Saturday, May 7.
Kentucky Derby fans will gather for Mint Juleps, big hats and horse racing from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on RHUMBAR’s Strip-side patio. While watching the race on one of RHUMBAR’s multiple big screen televisions, guests will enjoy the traditional drink of the Derby for $12 along with 16 oz. Coors Light bottles for $5. Plus, the first 100 partygoers to order a Mint Julep will receive a complimentary take-home copper cup.
Woodford Reserve “Mint Julep” recipe:
- 4 sprigs fresh mint
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 oz. water
- 2 oz. Woodford Reserve
Muddle three sprigs of mint, sugar and water in the bottom of a traditional copper cup. Fill cup with crushed ice. Add Woodford Reserve and stir. Dust fourth mint sprig with sugar for garnish.
