Flightlinez and the Fremont Street Experience will hold a day-long fundraiser with proceeds from all zipline rides benefitting Las Vegas Academy as well as Gilbert Magnet School and K.O. Knudson Middle School in an effort to help fund both new and struggling music programs.
There will also be an open mic for all musicians and featured performances by the students of Las Vegas Academy.
“Young people of Las Vegas will one day become the leaders of the city. We feel with the recent budget cuts for music, sports and extracurricular activities, it’s the community’s duty to help benefit the schools in order to promote activities for students outside the classroom. Fremont Street Experience is such a big supporter of live music and entertainment in Las Vegas, so we hope fundraisers like this help students reach their musical goals thus continuing the growth of music in our city,” said Flightlinez President Rex Owen.
Flightlinez and Fremont Street Experience are committed to serving the Las Vegas community by hosting charitable fundraisers throughout the year. Most recently, the team donated more than $17,000 to the Professional Drivers Association and the family of slain cab driver Tesfaye Arze.
