At LAVO, Michael Rapaport and Phife Dawg hosted Old School Wednesdays in celebration of the theatrical release of the Rapaport directed film starring Phife Dawg, “Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest” (Photo credit: Al Powers).

Fans were waiting for the duo with old school photos and movie posters as they arrived for dinner at the Italian eatery. After enjoying signature dishes they made their way to the nightclub where they took photos with fans.

Rapaport took the mic to introduce Phife Dawg, who then treated to crowd to a performance of greatest hits from A Tribe Called Quest. Rapaport even got on the mic to sign along with Phife Dawg and the rest of the crowd. They spent the rest of the night dancing and enjoying the sounds of old school hip hop from DJ Crooked. When asked by A Tribe Called Quest fans if they could ever expect a new album from the iconic hip hop group Phife Dawg shared that he hoped it would happen someday.
