Among those waiting were self-proclaimed Parrotheads Ron and Linda from Lake Havasu. There were awarded for being the first people in line, and most likely the most spirited, with two tickets to the Jimmy Buffett concert that will take place Oct. 15, the day after the official Grand Opening of Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo. They planned to be at the Flamingo to get a taste of “Lucky Rita” that weekend already and were more than happy to extend their stay for the show.

Guests, employees and executives all cheered on John Cohlan of Margaritaville Holdings as he rolled the first dice and made the first wager at Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo while toasting with a giant margarita. The 22 gaming tables and 220 slot machines quickly filled as guests explored the space, discovering thoughtful design touches inspired by the lyrics of Jimmy Buffett songs.
