Grammy Award winner Melissa Etheridge will rock the stage Saturday, November 12 at Buffalo Bill’s Star of the Desert Arena at 8 p.m.
The singer-songwriter is widely known for her mixture of pop-rock tunes accompanied by her signature smoky vocals and confessional lyrics. She has been nominated for 15 Grammy’s and took home two for her hit tracks Ain’t It Heavy released in 1993 and Come to My Window in 1995. Her most recent album titled Fearless Love was released April 2010 and debuted within the top 10 on Billboard Charts Top 200.
A mother of four and a breast cancer survivor, Etheridge draws upon her life experiences to write ballads from the heart. She is an iconic advocate in the US for many causes including equal rights and environmental issues as well as pledging her support to a variety of non-profit organizations. She has proved that she will remain a leading lady of rock and a mogul in the music industry as last month she was honored of having her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
