Wednesday night, movie and Broadway star Lainie Kazan performed in front of a sold-out crowd at the 3rd annual Evening of Cabaret benefiting Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) at The Lounge inside the Palms Casino Resort. The evening began with an exclusive cocktail party where the city’s elite enjoyed a meet and greet with the legendary singer-actress best known for her performance in My Big Fat Greek Wedding. She flowed through the room spending time with every guest, while posing for pictures and signing autographs.

Shortly after 8 p.m., Earl Shelton, AFAN’s director of development, and Glenn Alai, executive director of Penn & Teller, opened the show by thanking attendees for their donations and continued support that enable the agency to provide services to more than 4,000 clients in Southern Nevada.

Kazan followed and filled the lounge with her unforgettable voice singing a show full of Broadway and American standards. After the show, the singer met fans and signed copies of her latest CD, donating a portion of sales back to AFAN.

The evening concluded after an incredible cabaret performance and AFAN once again thanked gracious donors and sponsors for their collaboration on creating what is becoming a yearly must-attend event.
