Nick Cannon & Mariah Carey Celebrate One-Year Anniversary at The Palms
On Thursday night Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey celebrated their one-year anniversary at the Palms Casino Resort. The night started out with dinner for 50 family and friends at Simon at Palms Place (Photo Credit: Bill Boatman).
There were candles set up on the tables and a sign that read Happy Anniversary Mariah & Nick. Guests enjoyed the surf and turf with sides of Macaroni Cheese and Mashed Potatoes. For dessert, guests enjoyed Crème Brule and chocolate chip cookies.
After dinner the party moved to Moon Nightclub inside the fantasy tower at the Palms shortly after midnight. They gathered together with their friends and family in a VIP booth where Nick surprised Mariah with a video presentation of great moments from their first year of marriage. Everyone in the club toasted them while Nick and Mariah cut into a towering white Duncan Hines cake that was topped with a pink bow of frosting. About 1,000 Balloons were released into the sky when the Moon roof opened. Nick then took over the DJ booth and spun a special mix for the packed club. Mariah sparkled in a silver mini dress and smiled and laughed as she danced to the music.
VIP guests included Antonio “LA” Reid, Steve Bartles, Tyrese Gibson, Sanaa Lathan, and Floyd Mayweather all attended the party.
Other celebrities inside Moon included Rap Artist E-40, actor and comedian Kenan Thompson and Boxer Zab Judah.
Earlier that evening, Canadian actor, songwriter and talk show host Alan Thicke enjoyed dinner at N9NE Steakhouse with two guests. They shared the chilled shellfish platter for their appetizer, and Thicke had the wedge salad for his main course. He was fashionably clad in a green and white dress shirt, black corduroy blazer, dark jeans and black dress shoes.
Also at N9NE Steakhouse was professional skateboarder, Ryan Sheckler, who is best known for being the star in the MTV reality show, Life of Ryan. Wearing a Red Bull baseball cap, jeans and white skater shoes, Sheckler was joined by friend and co-owner of DCMA Collective Clothing, Tal Cooperman. The duo sat in the lounge and enjoyed the signature rock shrimp and macaroni and cheese. Sheckler was also engaged in a conversation with General Manager Jesse Shen as they discussed Scheckler’s past injuries, broken bones and how they happened.
