Recently, CRSVR was furnished with a few pairs of Nike’s Galaxy Foamposite shoes, which was the most anticipated “limited edition” shoe released this year. CRSVR was one of only three locations in the state to receive them. Customers showed up at CRSVR to camp out nearly a week before the shoes were released in hopes of obtaining a pair.
Nike gifted one pair of these elusive sneakers to the CRSVR owners, who in turn decided to sell raffle tickets last week for the shoes and drew a winner on Sunday, Feb. 26 at the conclusion of the NBA All Star game. The $2,000 raised during this pop-up raffle was donated directly to Shade Tree, a local charity that provides shelter to homeless and abused women and children in crisis.
The shoes were part of the Nike All Star Pack that was released in conjunction with the NBA All Star game festivities held in Orlando. The galaxy theme is a tribute to the area’s rich history in space exploration. The shoe features solar system graphics and a glow-in-the-dark sole.
