Beck to Perform at The Pearl at Palms Casino Resort Aug. 8

Multi Grammy award-winning artist Beck will perform at the Pearl inside Palms Casino Resort on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. Beck reunites with his Mutations Tour band mates for this current tour, including Joey Waronker, Roger Manning, Smokey Hormel and Justin Meldal-Johnsen.

Having spent the last few years working non-stop on projects ranging from producing albums for Stephen Malkmus, Thurston Moore and Charlotte Gainsbourg, to curating and performing in Record Club, Beck continues to be an alternative music mainstay.

Recently, fans have been following Beck’s Record Club on his website www.beck.com/recordclub which boasts an informal and irregular gathering of various musicians to record an album in one day’s time. Included in the recording sessions, Velvet Underground – The Velvet Underground & Nico, Leonard Cohen – The Songs Of Leonard Cohen, Skip Spence – OAR, INXS – Kick and Yanni – Live at The Acropolis. Guest musicians from these eclectic sessions include Wilco, Feist, Jamie Lidell, Devendra Banhart, MGMT, Thurston Moore, Tortoise, Nigel Godrich, Little Joy, St. Vincent and Liars.

During the period between that last tour and album, Beck also found time to contribute music to the soundtracks of The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, True Blood, Jeff Who Lives At Home and more. Beck has released many hit singles over the years including “Loser,” “Devil’s Haircut,” “Where It’s At,” “The New Pollution,” and “Girl,” from such familiar albums as Mellow Gold, Odelay!, Mutations, Midnight Vultures, Sea Change, Guero, The Information and Modern Guilt.

Beck recently provided a cover of “Corrina, Corrina” to the charity compilation Every Mother Counts 2012. For more information on Beck, visit www.facebook.com/Beck or www.beck.com.
