Hard Rock Cafes in Las Vegas, NV have teamed up with Vegas icon and comedian George Wallace, dubbed “Mr. Las Vegas,” for a cause that is very close to his heart – helping to change the lives of children born with facial deformities.
From now through Saturday, June 30, 2012, $5 from every Local Legendary Burger purchased at both Hard Rock Cafe locations in Las Vegas will be donated directly to Operation Smile, an international children’s medical charity with programs and foundations in more than 60 countries. Operation Smile is dedicated to providing free reconstructive surgery for children and young adults around the world who suffer from facial deformities, such as cleft lips and cleft palate.
“I am excited to partner with Hard Rock Cafe for this charitable Local Legendary program, as it will help to raise much-needed funds and awareness for an important cause,” said George Wallace. “I’m extremely passionate about Operation Smile and the organization’s life-changing surgeries, and am proud to show my support and help make a difference in children’s lives around the world.”
Hard Rock International’s Local Legendary Burger menu features specialty burgers, made with 10 ounces of Certified Angus Beef, that capture the culinary spirit of each city and are unique to each Hard Rock location worldwide. The “Bugsy Burger,” available only at Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas on The Strip, is a 10-ounce burger made with fresh mozzarella, balsamic tomatoes, aged balsamic, fresh basil, Merlot butter, pesto mascarpone and baby arugula on a Ciabatta loaf, served with sweet potato fries. The “Hangover Burger,” available only at Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas at Hard Rock Hotel, is a 10-ounce burger with Thousand Island dressing, a fried egg, onion ring, lettuce, tomato, red onion, two slices of cheddar cheese and two slices of Cajun-seasoned bacon.
