Chocolate & Spice Bakery, Summerlin’s newest foodie destination, announces Savory and Sweet Bites, a cooking class to be held on Wednesday, July 25 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm.
Participants will learn how to cook like a pro with hands-on practice as Megan Romano will personally instruct the session. Chef hopefuls will learn how to make gazpacho, brushcetta and chocolate tarts, sampling each item along the way. The $65 per person package will include tasty treats and refreshments, a gift bag, and skills sure to impress.

Noted pastry chef and cookbook author Megan Romano opened Chocolate & Spice Bakery backed by years of experience as a veteran of such venerable restaurants as Aureole, Lespinasse and Charlie Trotter. Chocolate & Spice offers an early morning menu including coffee and breakfast frittatas, such as the signature roasted vegetable and parmesan frittata and pastries including a caramel sticky brioche bun. Salads and sandwiches including Mediterranean salad with rustic potato and lemon vinaigrette or turkey sandwich with turkey, gruyere, and cranberry whole grain bread will satisfy at nearly any time of day. Yet of course this dessert destination would not be complete without Romano’s signature sweets. Artisan chocolates, including bon bons, truffles and bark share the stage with ice creams and sorbets while tarts, pies and cakes are available for pick up and can be custom ordered to suit any occasion.
