The American Superstars show at the Stratosphere Casino Hotel and Tower will add Elisa Furr as Celine Dion for a special limited engagement October 10 – 27, 2008, announced American Casino & Entertainment Properties officials.

“Our Christina Aguilera tribute artist is taking a break, and we needed a high caliber replacement. Celine Dion is a musical icon with a voice like no other, the adoration of fans worldwide, and a recent record run here in Vegas. We are pleased to welcome the talented Elisa Furr and her amazing tribute to Celine Dion,” said Mark Callas, who produces American Superstars with his Springtime Productions partner, Donny Moore.

Furr will perform a set of some of Dion’s biggest hits including “All Coming Back,” “Power of Love,” and “River Deep Mountain High.”

Elisa Furr is a multi-faceted talent who has worked as a singer, songwriter, international jingle artist, producer, keyboardist, voice coach, and music composer for film and television. She has entertained hundreds of thousands in countries around the world including Malaysia, Australia, Tahiti, and Mexico. She has shared the stage or opened for Lou Rawls, Mickey Thomas, Mike Reno, and many more. Furr’s career as a Celine Dion tribute artist was formed as a result of the response she received worldwide while covering Dion’s songs as well as her likeness to Dion.

American Superstars is a full-scale production show that combines the talents of tribute artists portraying the likeness and musical abilities of today’s and yesterday’s hottest stars. The American Superstars cast also features Darren Lee as Elvis, Damian Brantley as Michael Jackson, Chad Givens as Tim McGraw, John Anthony as Rod Stewart and normally Lorena Peril as Christina Aguilera.
