Traditionally, UFC President Dana White has placed the championship belt on fighters’ waists. On Saturday, Sept. 22, Johan Furuly of Norway was bestowed the honor of placing the UFC Light Heavyweight belt on Jon Jones after Jones defeated Vitor Belfort at UFC 152 in Toronto (Photo credit: Josh Hedges / Zuffa LLC).

Furuly earned the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity by winning the grand prize in Ultimate Poker’s Belt the Champ online poker tournament. As the grand prize winner, Furuly traveled to Toronto from Norway to experience VIP treatment at UFC 152. This included access to the weigh-in, a pre-fight VIP tour, a meet-and-greet with UFC President Dana White and the opportunity to place the UFC Light Heavyweight belt on the victor of the Jon “Bones” Jones / Vitor Belfort championship fight.
Belt the Champ was a free social poker promotion launched by Ultimate Poker, the official poker partner of the UFC and a product of Ultimate Gaming, a company focused on real money online games, social gaming, and digital entertainment in the United States and around the globe.
