Just 42 seconds into the game, Wranglers right wing Sean Wiles scored on Grizzlies goaltender Grant Rollheiser to put Las Vegas up 1-0. Less than five minutes later, Wranglers center Eric Lampe put the Grizzlies in a two-goal deficit with his 14th goal of the season. Utah was quick to respond, and Grizzlies forward Colin Vock cut the Wranglers lead in half 8:13 into the first.

The 2-1 score held into the second, when Wiles tallied his second goal of the night on a Wranglers power play for a 3-1 advantage midway through the period. A final goal from Wranglers left wing Josh Lunden in the final five minutes of the game secured the 4-1 win for Las Vegas, with goaltender Joe Fallon stopping 29 of Utah’s 30 shots in the victory.
