Whether you are an avid adventure race competitor or a weekend partygoer looking for a new personal challenge, the BADASS Dash set within the confines of South Point Arena has something for everyone on Saturday, May 25.
A portion of the BADASS Dash proceeds will benefit The Lili Claire Foundation, a private medical center dedicated to helping special needs children and adults with neurogenetic conditions such as Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Williams Syndrome and Autism.
“We have seen first-hand what an event of this magnitude can do to raise awareness and donations for charities like the Lili Claire Foundation,” said President and Founder of The Lili Clair Foundation Keith Resnick. “With some new twists and some very creative obstacles being implemented by the BADASS Dash event crew, we are looking forward to building on the success of this type of even for years to come.”
BADASS Dash race competitors will tackle the 7k (4.4 miles) course featuring 15+ unconventional, but achievable obstacles individually or as a team and register for one of two divisions: RECREATION, geared toward those not specifically trained but want to set a goal and ELITE, designed for well trained individuals with opportunities to win big prizes and even bigger bragging rights.
“We are taking a different approach to the words personal challenge,” said CEO for BADASS Dash LLC Grant Reeves. “Run, jog, walk or crawl – it is up to you as our course design will have all the elements you would expect in a challenge like this, and then some that you may not. While we plan on having some of the mainstream obstacles one can find at most Adventure races, our choice to transform this casino property and all that it has to offer into an Obstacle Course Challenge, certainly lends itself to having some “outside the box” ideas that will deliver some wild and fun unconventional challenges for each competitor to overcome. On top of that, we’re not going to tell the competitors every obstacle that is on the course, as the element of surprise is BADASS itself, leaving each and everyone who finishes with the true feeling of accomplishment when they cross the finish line, as they will be able to say… NOW THAT WAS BADASS!” For more information about the race and how to register, visit badassdash.com.
BADASS Dash benefits Autism Speaks, an organization dedicated to funding global biomedical research into the causes, prevention, treaents, and cure for autism; to raising public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and society; and to bringing hope to all who deal with the hardships of this disorder. It is Autism Speaks firm belief that, working together, we will find the missing pieces of the puzzle. We are committed to raising the funds necessary to support these goals.
