Brandon Flowers (vocals/keyboard), Dave Keuning (guitar), Mark Stoermer (bass) and Ronnie Vannucci (drums) recently presented their newest single, “A Dustland Fairytale,” to fans for the first time on The Late Show with David Letterman. The presentation was unique as they performed with a 20-piece orchestra. The video for the song made its worldwide premiere on iTunes earlier this month.
A number of media outlets have offered rave reviews of the popular band and the tour. The New York Post claimed, “Finally, a superstar band born in this century has emerged” while The Kansas City Star wrote, “…they put on one of the liveliest and most dynamic live shows in the world of pop music.” The online site Spin.com declared, “…the Killers are on the road with what will be remembered as one of the definitive stage shows of the year.”
The Killers will begin the Fall tour in August in Washington, D.C. and will continue in a number of additional prestigious venues throughout the United States. Following a triumphant headlining set at this year’s Coachella festival, The Killers will dazzle festival-goers once again as one of the headliners at the 2009 Lollapalooza event.
