Lotus Broadcasting Takes KWID-FM in House with Rename La Buena 101.9 FM
In Aug. 2008, Lotus Broadcasting acquired KWID 101.9 FM from Clear Channel radio in Las Vegas, adding the La Preciosa brand to its broadcasting group. In a bold move, Lotus is changing the station to La Buena 101.9 FM to make it an official Lotus-branded and programmed station, effective today, Wednesday, July 1, 2009.
The station will continue to be the station Las Vegans have grown to love, playing the best in Spanish Adult Hits and remaining under the direction of Program Director Benjamin Ayvar, who has been with 101.9 FM for several years.
Highly popular Alex Lucas will still be waking Las Vegas up from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. The rest of the line-up is as follows:
- Musica Continua, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- “El Tapatio,” 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Salomon “El Baron Ortiz,” 7 p.m. to midnight
