On Wednesday, June 26, the UFC officially used the massive screens on the Las Vegas Sphere to announce UFC 306. Additionally, the fighting league also announced that UFC 306 would be its first event with a title sponsor, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

UFC 306 is officially known as Riyadh Season Noche UFC. It’s scheduled for Sept. 14 as part of Mexican Independence Day weekend. The Las Vegas Sphere will also be a groundbreaking venue for the league, which plans to use its innovative audio and visual technologies to their fullest capacity.

“This will be one of the biggest sporting events of all time,” said UFC President Dana White in a statement. “What we’re going to pull off at Sphere will never be done again. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for sports fans.”

All of this is to say that The Sphere won’t just be one of the most unique Las Vegas music venues — it’ll now also be home to truly amazing sporting events.

At this point, however, it isn’t clear who is going to be on the card. Tickets have not yet gone on sale for the UFC fight night at the Las Vegas Sphere, either.
