The Jackpot “gods” visited a Hawaii player at The Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, leaving him with a staggering six-figure payout during a live keno bout. The gambler’s huge win came after he put forward a $2 keno wager.
The Hawaii visitor Spun His Way To A Keno Jackpot

The Hawaii visitor’s keno jackpot occurred over the weekend inside the casino’s live keno lounge. Boyd Gaming officials confirmed the guest matched all required numbers during a live drawing to secure the $100,000 prize.
Local outlet News 3 Las Vegas (KSNV) reported that the visitor, identified simply as Melvin, hit it big around 7 pm after a $2 wager. This remarkable reward made the Honolulu native the second live keno winner at the Orleans in Las Vegas in the past few weeks.
Earlier in 2026, another player, a Las Vegas local, won nearly $100,000 playing the same game at The Orleans. They had placed a multi-game wager using the same eight numbers across consecutive drawings. That jackpot totaled $99,851. The Orleans, located just west of the Las Vegas Strip, is known for its dedicated keno area, which hosts drawings throughout the day.
About Live Keno Jackpots in Las Vegas

Live keno operates differently from slot machines. Instead of spinning reels, players choose numbers from a pool, typically ranging from 1 to 80. During each drawing, 20 numbers are selected at random. Payouts depend on how many selected numbers match the drawn numbers.
At The Orleans Hotel and Casino, drawings take place every few minutes. Players can place single-game wagers or cover multiple consecutive games. Some guests choose the same number combination repeatedly, while others change selections between draws.
An “eight-spot” ticket, in which a player selects eight numbers, often offers higher payouts when all numbers match. Because the odds of matching all eight are relatively long, the potential prize can climb into five or six figures depending on the bet size and payout table.
Unlike progressive slot jackpots, most live keno payouts follow fixed odds and pay tables. However, some casinos offer progressive keno options where a portion of each wager contributes to a growing jackpot.
It’s Still Raining Jackpots Across The Strip

The Hawaii visitor keno jackpot at The Orleans is one of several large payouts reported across the Las Vegas Valley in 2026, and it’s only the first quarter of the year.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, a player recently won more than $1 million on a Dragon Link progressive slot at a Strip casino. Meanwhile, Treasure Island reported that 11 players hit jackpots in February, totaling more than $100,000 combined.
In another recent case, a Nevada casino guest claimed a $12.3 million Megabucks progressive jackpot on an IGT machine, according to Gaming America. That win marked one of the largest slot payouts in the state this year.
