Get Your Butt To Circa… Literally.

Lots of places do what they can to uphold the history of Las Vegas, from branded matchbooks at the bar to actual coin-operated slot machines. But nothing compares to the historical element of Vegas shows of yesteryear that keep us always wanting more of what used to be. Well, things just got a whole lot “peachier” on Fremont Street. The iconic “Crazy Girls” sculpture has made its return to Downtown Las Vegas, thanks to Circa Las Vegas CEO/Owner Derek Stevens. In working with the owner and producer of the original revue, Norbert Aleman, now everyone can have a chance to rub these bronze backsides for a little bit of good luck, just as Vegas used to be.

Debuting in 1997 outside the Riviera Hotel, the Crazy Girls sculpture paid homage to the long-running adult show in Las Vegas, which is clearly still a topic of conversation if you’re a Las Vegas history buff like we are. We were lucky enough to get invited to watch the arrival of the Girls, and what a way to kick off the day. We waited as the sculpture had a police escort from the Las Vegas sign all the way down the Strip, before it made its way to Circa. The event kicked off with a nostalgic story from Derek, recapping his time coming to Vegas with his buddies and how their trips always started with a visit to the statue, in hopes of a little luck rubbing off. We will have to test out this trick for ourselves and report back. It was inspiring to hear more about how the statue holds a special place for Derek and how it influenced his thought process when making business decisions while creating Circa.

Women spanning from the original cast to the final cast posed on stage with the statue. No, they wouldn’t tell us who was who, but they did say three of the ladies present are cast in the statue. They were having the time of their lives; it was almost like they were transported right back to the Riviera stage. They really got the full Circa experience, as they were all headed up to Stadium Swim to continue the celebration after the event.

The official ribbon cutting will be held this weekend, and we can hardly wait. Since the Girls were still loaded on the truck, we didn’t want to risk the “magic” and rub them too soon. Don’t miss your chance to visit these iconic ladies at the newly redone entrance of the Legacy Club. We are so excited to be witnesses to another amazing piece of Las Vegas history.
