2017 Miss USA Contestants visit Shark Reef and Libertine Social at Mandalay Bay
With just six days until the highly anticipated 2017 Miss USA Pageant, the contestants spent a girls’ night out in Las Vegas, where they enjoyed one of The Strip’s must-see attractions Shark Reef Aquarium and Mandalay Bay’s newest dining location Libertine Social (Photo credit: Kris Lumague for Mandalay Bay).

Dressed in summer outfits with picturesque hair and makeup, the beauties were excited to take a “deep dive” into the 90,560 square foot Shark Reef Aquarium where they pet stingrays and took photos throughout the 14 exhibits.

Following their personal tour, they headed to Polar Journey for an up-close, interactive look at the exhibit which opened earlier this year.

Another group of contestants were lucky enough to stop by award-winning Chef Shawn McClain’s latest culinary creation, Libertine Social. The girls were seated in the social dining room and dined on the venue’s signature family-style dishes. A few of the constants favored dishes included Marinated Ahi Tuna Cones, Parmesan Churros, Petaluma Chicken and the King Salmon.

Before and after dinner, the ladies were kind enough to take photos with fans in the dining room – only emphasizing the restaurant’s high-energy open layout that allows guests to move through the space freely and mingle with others.
