At the 26th annual Latin Grammy Awards in Las Vegas, Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, secured five wins. These include Album of the Year for Debí Tirar Más Fotos, Best Urban/Fusion Performance, Best Reggaetón Performance for “Voy a Llevarte Pa PR,” Best Urban Music Album for Debí Tirar Más Fotos, and Best Urban Song for the title track.

The album features live instrumentation that blends reggaetón and Puerto Rican traditional styles, such as plena, showcasing his evolving artistry. In his acceptance speech, Bad Bunny dedicated the award to “all the youth of Latin America,” adding: “There are many ways of being patriotic and defending our homelands. We chose music.”

In addition to Bad Bunny’s wins, Argentine duo Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso also took home five awards. Other major winners included Alejandro Sanz, Gloria Estefan, and Karol G. The rapidly growing Latin music sector generated a record $1.4 billion in 2024, accounting for 8.1% of total U.S. music revenue, according to the Recording Industry Association of America. Bad Bunny’s dominance at the Las Vegas ceremony comes ahead of the 60th Super Bowl. The music star will perform as the halftime headliner at the much-anticipated event in February 2026. This marks a further step in his crossover into the global mainstream.
