No matter the weather, what’s more glamorous than ringing in the New Year in downtown Las Vegas?
Locals know a little rain has never stopped a good party, and New Year’s Eve weekend was no exception. We made our way to Circa Las Vegas because, honestly, if you’re celebrating big, that’s where you go. No gimmicks, just a packed house, good energy, and the kind of night that reminds you why downtown still runs this city.
Barry’s Downtown Prime turned into a bit of a throwback moment when Heather Locklear walked in. If you grew up on TJ Hooker, Dynasty, Melrose Place, or just remember those posters everyone had, you definitely noticed. She was dining with longtime friend Lorenzo Lamas, another familiar face to anyone who remembers Falcon Crest, Renegade, or his later run on The Bold and the Beautiful.
The two were hosted by Circa Executive Richard Wilk, and word around the room was that Chef Barry himself took them back for a private kitchen tour. Apparently, Barry sent them home with a box of his mom’s cookies, which quickly became the most talked-about takeaway of the night. Both of them looked great, and fans were everywhere snapping photos. It sounds like it was a classic Vegas moment that we are sure won’t be forgotten.
Earlier in the night, we were told that influencer John Cerasani made a stop in Circa Resort’s High Limit room to see if he could finish the year with a win. A crowd gathered as he filmed content with his crew, and afterwards was spotted in a meeting with Nick Wolfs, owner of a top creative agency on TikTok called “Perfect Society” that manages over a thousand popular creators. After what looked like a serious meeting with Nick, John headed straight to Barry’s for dinner. The wine room stayed busy, especially when he crossed paths with the Venezuelan Vixen herself, former two-time UFC Women’s Champion Julianna Peña. Just another example of how business, content, and nightlife all blur together here in Vegas, on any given night.
Fans were crowding the Mega Bar in Circa after Mike Henry, better known as reality star Ho— Mike from Counting Cars, posted on his social media that he was there drinking with friends. Everyone loves him, and it showed. He stopped constantly for photos, clearly enjoying the attention and the moment. He got a chance to chat and pose with Circa’s CEO/Owner Derek Stevens’ son, Sammy, and Sammy’s fiancée, along with Bobby, co-owner Greg Stevens’ son, earlier in the night. If Mike is around, you can count on good vibes and a lot of laughs.
That’s the thing about downtown Las Vegas. Even with rain on New Year’s Eve, the fireworks still went off; the energy stayed high, and you never know who you’ll run into. Looks like it was a great start to the New Year at Circa!
