Hilary Duff has officially sold out the remaining dates of her Las Vegas residency at Voltaire at The Venetian. The star has been drawing large crowds as she prepares to promote her upcoming album, “Luck… or Something.” Duff’s residency dates in Las Vegas reportedly sold out rapidly once ticket sales began.

The longtime “Lizzie McGuire” star has been working on new music ahead of the release of Luck… or Something, her first full album in more than a decade. In November, she released her first single from the album, called “Mature.” She then followed that up with “Small Rooms, Big Nerves 2026,” a tour run in late 2025 and early 2026. Her residency at Voltaire is set to coincide with the album’s release and Valentine’s Day weekend in Las Vegas.

Despite the buzz around her live shows, she’s also been at the center of a social media saga involving a so-called “toxic mom group.” The public drama began after actress Ashley Tisdale penned a viral essay with The Cut. The “Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventures” star detailed her decision to leave a group of moms she said had become unhealthy and hurtful over time. Tisdale did not publicly name specific individuals. However, netizens connected the situation to a circle of celebrity mothers, including Duff, Meghan Trainor, and Mandy Moore.

The drama first made it to the public with an essay Ashley Tisdale published, titled “Breaking Up With My Toxic Mom Group.” The write-up expanded on an earlier blog post about negative experiences in a support circle of fellow moms. The “High School Musical” star wrote that she “felt lucky” to find friendship in a mom group where they all had similar experiences of motherhood amid the pandemic.

She revealed that things, however, “took a turn for the worse” when she was left out of a couple of group hangs.” Tisdale described feelings of exclusion and emotional hurt after a series of interactions she found unkind. This led her to publicly announce her decision to step away from the group. She wrote, “Here’s the hard-earned lesson I hope you’ll take to heart: It’s not the right group for you.”

The former child star concluded,” Even if it looks like they’re having the best time on Instagram.” Although she didn’t name any celebrities in her piece, social media users quickly linked the essay to a circle of celebrities who had appeared together in photos and posts in the past. The photo included Hilary Duff, Mandy Moore, and Meghan Trainor. Tisdale’s decision to share her story sparked responses from multiple directions.

How The Drama Deepened

Per Billboard, Hilary Duff’s husband, musician Matthew Koma, reacted on social media with a mocked-up headline poking fun at Tisdale’s piece. “When You Are The Most Self-Obsessed Tone Deaf Person On Earth, Other Moms Tend To Shift Focus To Their Actual Toddlers,’ he wrote on his Instagram stories. Meanwhile, various participants associated with the group have publicly defended themselves or addressed the situation in different ways.

On TikTok, Meghan Trainor posted a  video of herself sitting at her computer with the caption, “me finding out about the apparent mom group drama.” The “All About That Bass” crooner included her song “Still Don’t Care” in the background for emphasis. However, Hilary Duff appeared to be unaffected by the toxic mom group issue as she teased new music in an Instagram reel.

Amid the speculations that reigned supreme among the fans of all purported to be involved, Tisdale indirectly broke her silence. A rep for the actress revealed that the write-up was about another mom group, not the famous one.
