HyperX Esports Arena to Host Super Smash Bros. Regional Tournament
Today is the last day to signup for Oct. 9-10 tournament!
HyperX Esports Arena Las Vegas will jump into action October 9 and 10 with Edgeguard, a two-day Super Smash Bros. Ultimate regional tournament. During the event, Vegas locals and regional gamers are invited to compete to win their share of a $3,000-plus prize pool spread across multiple events.
On both tournament days, gamers can experience a tailored event with multiple competitions, a state-of-the art gaming facility, and elevated bites and cocktails.
- Multiple Tournaments: Gamers can look forward to multiple tournaments throughout the weekend such as Smash Singles featuring a $2,000 pot bonus plus $10 per player (300 entrants); Smash Doubles featuring a $500 pot bonus plus $5 per player (128 teams); and Smash Squad Strike with a $500 pot bonus plus $10 per player (128 entrants).
- State-of-the-Art Facility: The state-of-the-art, 30,000-square-foot Arena is a ready-to-go championship destination and content studio for publishers, leagues, tournaments, and high-stakes matchups. Housed in a setting designed to deliver an unparalleled live fan experience, the Arena features a multi-level modular design complete with a 50-foot LED video wall displaying tournaments; a HYPE Tunnel; telescopic seating for spectators; live broadcasting, and more.
- Gamer-Inspired Bites and Drinks: The Arena’s two bars will serve gamer-inspired cocktails such as “Player Yum” featuring blood orange vodka, Salerno, ruby red juice, Stiegel Radler grapefruit and fresh lime. Players also can grab a bite to eat off the venue’s gameday favorite menu, which includes items such as pub french fries, chicken wings, fried cheese curds, and more.
A “Friendlies Pass” will be available for non-competitors for $25 up until event day. The two-day pass includes access to watch the tournament as well as participate in the “Bring Your Own Console” dedicated area. Tickets are now on sale for $50 with a late registration ticket price of $60. Registration closes on Tuesday, Oct. 5 and can be reserved at Smash.gg/Edgeguard.com.
