Temperatures in Las Vegas Expected Spike to 108 Degrees This Weekend; Lee Canyon Offers a Cool Reprieve for Father’s Day
The dog days of summer arrive just in time for Father’s Day as temperatures in Las Vegas are expected to spike on Saturday and reach a high of 108 degrees on Sunday. Lee Canyon’s base area is at 8,510 feet above sea level, so guests get a cool reprieve, with temperatures forecasted to be in the low-to-mid 70s Friday through Sunday.
At Lee Canyon, guests can enjoy scenic chairlift rides, disc golf, and hiking on the nearby Bristlecone Trail. People can also kick back on the deck of Hillside Lodge while having a snack from the Brewin’ Burro and take in the sweeping views of the canyon. Of course, cool mountain breezes will roll off of Lee Peak that stands 11,289 feet, so pack accordingly. For more information, visit www.leecanyonlv.com.
