The seventh annual Rise Up Gala, an exclusive, one-night-only experience created to raise funds for Tyler Robinson Foundation (TRF), the nonprofit organization of the GRAMMY Award-winning band Imagine Dragons dedicated to supporting children battling pediatric cancer, has been rescheduled for Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020 at Wynn Las Vegas’ Outdoor Pavilion.
Overlooking the Wynn Las Vegas golf course and the historic Las Vegas Country Club, the beautiful outdoor venue will provide a stunning backdrop for this star-studded event while maximizing the safety of guests.
TRF has also announced some of its honorees being recognized for their efforts to support its mission. Honorees include:
TRF Youth Ambassador: Brianna Paul
Brianna Paul is a fun-loving and imaginative 11-year-old with a very giving spirit. What initially began as a journey for her family to give back based on their own unexpected pediatric diagnoses has resulted in a pathway to let Brianna’s servant-heart shine. Brianna loves to combine her creative knack and talents with fun ways to raise money and spread pediatric cancer awareness, including making bracelets, baking sweet treats, and writing and decorating PenPal letters. She has been involved with TRF since August 2018 and together, with her family and Team TRF partnerships, has helped raise more than $15,000 to date.
TRF Legacy Award Honoree: Heather Kahlert, The Kahlert Foundation
As Vice President of The Kahlert Foundation, Heather Kahlert works with hundreds of nonprofit and social impact companies across the nation, including TRF. The Kahlert Foundation’s mission is to provide grants to nonprofit organizations that improve the quality of life and well-being of the community in the areas of healthcare, youth programs, education, veteran organizations and human services. In addition to her work with The Kahlert Foundation, Heather serves on the executive board of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), Make-A-Wish Utah, Alpine School District Foundation, the David Eccles School of Business Advisory Board at The University of Utah and The Woman’s Success Center at Utah Valley University among others.
TRF Community Impact Honoree: Intermountain Healthcare
Intermountain Healthcare, a Utah-based, large regional organization considered one of the nation’s top health systems, recently joined with HealthCare Partners Nevada, a leading network of healthcare providers and clinics in southern Nevada. With the shared vision of helping people live the healthiest lives possible, Intermountain is widely recognized as a leader in clinical quality improvement and efficient healthcare delivery. Warren Volker, M.D., Ph.D. serves as Intermountain’s Chief Clinical Officer for Nevada and is a member of the TRF board.
Through Dr. Volker’s leadership, Intermountain has championed TRF’s mission to support families battling childhood cancer in Nevada, Utah and beyond. Intermountain’s commitment as a community-focused and value-based health system is coupled with deep, personal connections to the people they serve. Earlier this year, Intermountain demonstrated its commitment to the southern Nevada community through a partnership with Sunrise Hospital by bringing on Dr. Taryn Bragg, a pediatric neurosurgeon. Dr. Bragg was recruited and is employed by Primary Children’s Hospital, an Intermountain pediatric hospital. It is through this partnership that families can now access a critical care specialist for their child locally in Las Vegas, without having to leave the state.
About the Rise Up Gala
Featuring an exclusive acoustic performance by Imagine Dragons, the Rise Up Gala offers attendees an exhilarating night of entertainment while celebrating the individuals who have made notable contributions to TRF through direct efforts, philanthropic support, or by raising public awareness about the challenges facing families battling a childhood cancer diagnosis. On the heels of a highly successful 2019 event, which raised more than $3.2 million, the seventh annual Rise Up Gala promises to be an extraordinary evening of inspiration and hope as TRF also honors the children whom the organization’s mission is built around.
The evening includes a cocktail hour, dinner, live and silent auctions as well as all-star entertainment. All proceeds raised benefit TRF, with 85% of every dollar raised going directly to support families in need. Tickets and packages previously purchased for the seventh annual Rise Up Gala will be honored for the rescheduled date.
Refunds will be available for guests who are unable to join on Saturday, Oct. 10. Due to social distancing restrictions currently in place, the gala is currently sold out. A wait list has been created should restrictions be modified, allowing increased capacities. Requests for refunds or to be added to the wait list may be directed to Kim Gradisher at kim@trf.org.
