Watch colorful fireworks during the 18th annual Southern Highlands Community Fireworks on Memorial Day Monday, May 25 at 8:15 p.m. Pivoting this year to a socially distant format, the fireworks will originate and be displayed high from the hilltop at Olympia Sports Park. While the park will be closed to the public, the height of the fireworks has been increased this year for families and residents in the Southern Highlands area to see and enjoy while at home.

This year the community has partnered with popular local radio station Mix 94.1 to broadcast the fireworks and synchronized music, and radio personality Heather Collins will present the event to the community and beyond via Facebook Live.

Maintaining its commitment to supporting its long-standing community partner Operation Warmheart, a Go Fund Me page has been set up and the public is encouraged to make a donation to the private, non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to local airmen and their families at Creech and Nellis Air Force Base. Please visit http://charity.gofundme.com/o/en/campaign/operation-warm-heart or text “Donate SH” to 474747 to make your contribution today.

The Southern Highlands Community Fireworks are presented by the Southern Highlands Community Association in partnership with the Olympia Companies Charitable Foundation and the Southern Highlands Home Builder Cooperative, whose members include Blue Heron, Century Communities, Lennar, Pulte Homes, William Lyon Homes, Woodside Homes, and Tuscan Highlands, a residential resort community
