Cinco de Mayo Celebration
Free Food, Music and Vaccines at Cinco de Mayo Festival
Commissioner William McCurdy II, Las Vegas City Councilwoman Olivia Diaz and North Las Vegas Mayor Pro Tem Isaac Barron are hosting a Cinco de Mayo festival with free food, music, games and COVID-19 vaccines from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, at the East Las Vegas Community Center, 250 N. Eastern Avenue.
“Join us for a celebration of Hispanic culture on Cinco de Mayo,” Commissioner McCurdy said. “With free food, music, traditional dances, games, pinatas and more, it will be a great evening for families and the community.”
“I am so excited to celebrate with the community and also provide opportunities for our residents to be vaccinated,” Ward 3 Councilwoman Diaz said. “Everyone is invited to join us for some family fun.”
The festival is free to attend, and the vaccines will be provided on a first-come, first served basis while supplies last.
In addition to the festival activities, the event will also have officials there to discuss career training opportunities and healthcare services.
