Affinity Gaming and Silver Sevens present $5,000 check to Alzheimer’s Association Desert Southwest Chapter
As part of its continued partnership and pledge to contribute at least $125,000 in 2017, Affinity Gaming and Silver Sevens presented the first $5,000 check towards reaching that goal at the 14th annual Alzheimer’s Association Education Conference yesterday at the Henderson Convention Center.

The conference featured information, education and research updates from renowned experts Dr. Charles Bernick, associate medical director of the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health; Dr. Marisa Menchola from the University of Arizona; Dr. Dylan Wint, director of education in neurodegenerative disorders and fellowship in cognitive disorders at the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health; and John Michaelson from Michaelson and Associates.

Juan DeAngelo, leading the “Think Half Full” project, to raise awareness for depression and mental illness, emceed the event. Nancy Nelson, author of the “Blue.River. Apple.” book series and diagnosed with early stages of Alzheimer’s, provided closing remarks.
Affinity Gaming’s Southern Nevada properties, including Silver Sevens, Primm Valley Resort & Casino, Buffalo Bill’s Resort & Casino and Whiskey Pete’s Hotel & Casino, will commit at least $75,000 to the Desert Southwest Chapter Southern Nevada Region by sponsoring and participating in signature events, along with education, support and engagement opportunities for Affinity Gaming employees and guests.
