The Texas Tenors will bring their country roots and classical sound to the Suncoast Showroom July 26 and 27.
The classical crossover trio vocal group was formed in 2009 and showcased their talents on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” winning over the hearts and votes of millions of viewers. The Texas Tenors finished as a top four finalist in the fourth season of “America’s Got Talent,” making them the highest-ranking vocal group in the show’s history.
In 2009, the group’s self-titled debut album, “The Texas Tenors” was released, containing songs such as “Nessun dorma” and “La donna è mobile.” Two years later, the group remastered the album to include new material, titled “Country Roots: Classical Sound.”
The group began touring in 2010, and have since performed in over 20 countries worldwide. When not on tour, they can be found in several cities across the country for extended runs. The trio performs over 60 concerts each Fall at the Starlite Theater in Branson, Mo., where they were named 2011 and 2012 critic’s choice group and ensemble of the year.
Their second studio album, titled “You Should Dream,” was released in December of 2013. The album features songs including “God Bless the USA,” “Unchained Melody,” “Wild Horses,” along with two original songs and a 65-piece orchestra. During the same year, “The Texas Tenors: You Should Dream” special aired on PBS.
The group’s three members are country music singer JC Fisher, pop singer Marcus Collins and opera singer John Hagen.
