Hailed worldwide as one of the greatest guitar players of his generation, Joe Bonamassa has almost single-handedly redefined the blues-rock genre and brought it into the mainstream.
He will perform in concert at The Pearl Concert Theater inside Palms Casino Resort on May 1 and 2, 2015 at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $89, plus any additional service fees.

This intimate engagement is in support of his brand new studio album Different Shades Of Blue (J&R Adventures), which is Bonamassa’s first solo studio album in two years and the first of his career to feature all original material. The new album was recorded in Las Vegas at Studio at the Palms and written in Nashville with Jonathan Cain (Journey), James House (Diamond Rio, Dwight Yoakam, Martina McBride) and Jerry Flowers (Keith Urban). The result is a record with more of an experimental edge than previous Bonamassa records. It’s a blues record that explores the outer reaches and the many different sounds that shape the genre.
“It’s been a while since I’ve been involved in the writing on an entire album. So I decided I wanted to make a completely original blues album,” said Bonamassa. “I’ve really had to push myself to make everything I do better than the last project. I know the fans expect it. And I feel like I owe it to the fans to give them an original record after all these years.”
His hard work is being rewarded: MOJO gave Different Shades Of Blue a four-star review and called it the guitarists’ “most cohesive and satisfying artistic statement yet.” Uncut echoed that statement declaring it the “best yet and then some from an artist whose vision continues to expand with every release.”
American Way called Different Shades Of Blue “a career high” and named Bonamassa “America’s biggest guitar hero since Stevie Ray Vaughan.” Wall Street Journal says, “Bonamassa takes charge on ‘Get Back My Tomorrow’… a hard-hitting tune that showcases Bonamassa’s voice and muscular guitar work.”
