Poppy Den Asian Bistro will host a viewing party to celebrate Chef Angelo Sosa’s upcoming appearance and cook-off with Chef Bobby Flay on Food Network’s “Iron Chef America” from 8 to 10 p.m. on Sunday, March 2 (Photo credit: Jeremy Johnson).
Chef Sosa will compete during an hour-long competition with renowned chef and restaurateur, Bobby Flay. The show will air at 9 p.m. PST on March 2.
Poppy Den will share in the celebration by hosting a viewing party throughout the restaurant. Guests will enjoy the opportunity to mingle with Chef Sosa and other notable attendees while enjoying the episode projected live on the wall above the staircase and all of the flat-screen TV’s inside The Den and Poppy Den’s first-story dining room, which will be open for normal business. Following the episode, Chef Sosa will feature a different dish from the show as a special each day at Poppy Den from Monday, March 3, through Saturday, March 8. The weeklong taste tour will end with the finale ‘Last Supper’ meal offering the full five-course meal that was prepared on the show, priced at $85 per person. The ‘Last Supper’ will be available exclusively on Friday, March 7, and Saturday, March 8.
Chef Angelo Sosa’s Poppy Den Asian Bistro offers his own signature blend of traditional fare with modern influences inspired by his travels throughout Asia. Sosa relocated to Las Vegas and can often be seen at the restaurant, whether he’s in the kitchen or our meeting the guests. The hand-crafted cocktails and sake, along with wine and draft beers, complement the expertly crafted fare.
