Event Info: Comedian and actor Tony Rock has had found success on and off the big screen, most recently appearing in the feature film “Think Like a Man.” He currently hosts Russell Simmons’ “All Def Comedy Live” and the newly revamped talent competition “Apollo Live.” Rock has starred in the films “C’mon Man” and “The Redemption of a Dog” as well as having appeared on the small screen including BET’s “Let’s Stay Together” and VH1’s “Single Ladies.” He is the younger brother of well-known comedy actor, Chris Rock.

Event Info: Contemporary jazz saxophonist Mindi Abair is a two-time Grammy Award nominee and has sold a half-million records as a solo artist. She has performed with notable artists such as Aerosmith, Bruce Springsteen and others and appeared on the hit show “American Idol.” Abair is joined on stage by The BoneShakers, made up of Randy Jacobs and Sweetpea Atkinson, who joined forces in 1980 as part of the band Was (Not Was) and came out with the worldwide hit “Walk The Dinosaur” in the 1990s. The group has had the opportunity to perform with Bonnie Raitt and Lyle Lovett and merged their bluesy R&B stylings with Mindi’s sweet saxophone sounds to create an unforgettable musical experience.

Event Info: Locals’ favorite Poolside Jazz Under the Stars is back for the summer with a June show starring Alex Bugnon. The jazz pianist was born in the Swiss town of Montreux, which is home to the world famous Jazz Festival that sparked Bugnon’s love of music. When Bugnon moved to the United States to pursue his passion for music, he was greatly influenced by the sounds of R&B, gospel, soul and funk. Bugnon has been nominated for two Soul Train Music Awards for the Best Jazz Album.
The pool will close at 5 p.m. on show days and reopen for ticket-holders at 6 p.m. Poolside cabana rentals are available for $150.
