Downtown Las Vegas Events Center Partners with Insomniac Events on May 16 During EDC Week
On Thursday, May 16, Downtown Las Vegas Events Center will partner with Insomniac Events during EDC week with a thrilling techno show featuring Adam Beyer (pictured) and Cirez D, the darker and deeper alias of Eric Prydz. The first official show announcement for EDC week, this evening of underground electronic music will be presented by Insomniac’s Factory 93 with production design from the Eric Prydz EPIC show team.

The concert also will mark the largest EDC Week show in the event’s history.

Drumcode-label-boss Adam Beyer emerged from Europe and has been gracing everything from festival stages to club floors with his musical legacy since the 1990s. Beyer has released a number of studio albums and EPs that have been globally recognized for their modern dance hits such as “Open Up” and “Say What” and is also known for transforming the underground music circuit. The globetrotter has earned a name for himself as a DJ, but also as the founder of Drumcode Records, a techno label that handles releases, radio, talent scouting and more.

Before reimagining his sound through the ominous voice of Cirez D, the award-winning DJ released music under the name Eric Prydz and in 2004 he released his hit single “Call on Me.” The song topped the United Kingdom’s charts for five weeks and was on the German Top 100 for six weeks. The success didn’t stop there – he went on to be recognized for multiple chart-topping tunes and albums including “Pjanoo” and Essential Mix. While continuing to develop his musical voice through the years, he won DJ of the Year at the Electronic Music Awards in 2017.

Electric Daisy Carnival, Insomniac Event’s world-famous annual electronic dance festival, will be held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway from May 17 through May 19. The three-day event ushers in more than 400,000 people during the weekend of music, art and carnival experiences.
