Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel presents renowned Mixed Martial Arts King of the Cage on Saturday, November 13. Doors for the event will open at 6:30 p.m. with the fights starting at 7:30 p.m. in the Casablanca Event Center. Professional cage fighters will roll into the Eastside Cannery bringing an arsenal of kicks, punches, knees and knock-outs. With nine hard hitting, no holds barred, mixed martial arts cage fights this event will air on a month later on Pay-Per-View in December.
The two co-main events will feature four of the best athletes in the heavyweight division while the seven undercard bouts will feature California talent facing off against top Nevada fighters for territorial bragging rights. One of the main events features Nick “Afro Zilla” Gaston vs. Tyler “The Beast” East in a duel of champions. Gaston is a fighter from Columbus, Ohio with a record of 5-0-0 who specializes in Wrestling, Boxing and Muay Thai. He has also been featured the last two seasons on MTV’s smash series Bully Beatdown. East is a young fighter holding a record of 7-3-0. This 6 foot 5 inch, 230 pound, heavyweight is strong, quick, and full of potential.
The other main event of the evening has Anthony “Rumble” Johnson battling Boban Simic in another heavyweight fight. Measuring in at 265 pounds and 6’1” frame Tony Johnson with a record of 4-1-0, is a monster in the cage. His quick hands and feet are counter to his stature and often surprise his opponents. A strong wrestling pedigree eventually netted him an Olympic training invitation and multiple championships. Boban Simic with a record of 8-4-0 and fighting out of Russia, is a King of the Cage veteran who took home the win at the King of the Cage show this past summer. His ground and pound tactics are brutal for his opponents.
